How do I set up my shipping options?

Setting up shipping methods for your books is a two-part process. First, you’ll need to select a ‘Shipping Zone’ in Shopify, then you’ll need to connect the shipping methods Lulu uses with the options Shopify shows your customers.

To select your Shipping Zone, start in your Shopify account and navigate to Settings > Shipping. With a Shipping Zone selected, Shopify will offer a range of shipping options and prices to display.

With your Shopify Shipping Zone selected, you can apply Lulu’s shipping methods to your products. From the Lulu xPress App, navigate to More Actions > Settings > Manage Shipping Options. Lulu xPress defaults to ‘Automatic Mapping’, applying shipping methods from Lulu with your Shopify options based on the shipping prices you apply.

We recommend using Automatic Mapping to ensure you charge the correct amount for shipping on all orders and to fully automate ordering from your Shopify store.

If you opt to manually set shipping prices, you can update individual shipping methods in the Lulu xPress Manage Shipping Options menu. Just click the drop-down menu beside the desired Shipping Option and select the shipping method you would like to update.

Please keep in mind that if you charge your customers $5 for Expedited shipping, but Expedited shipping actually costs $12, for example, you will be paying the difference.

How can I connect my products in Shopify with Lulu xPress?

Once you have your Shopify and Lulu xPress accounts set up, you’ll need to connect your books (in the form of PDF files) to your Shopify products (the listing readers will see when they shop). Because this is an important and detailed process, we’ve created an Integration Guide and YouTube video for your reference:

How do I set up automatic payment/fulfillment with Shopify?

With Automatic Payments enabled, Lulu xPress will charge you printing and shipping costs at the time of the order and begin fulfillment of your orders immediately.

Select the Auto-Pay option and follow the instructions to add your payment method. To update your saved Automatic Payment, please delete and create a new Automatic Payment in the checkout screen.

Currently, the only way to add an Automatic Payment is during checkout.

I’ve had an order come through but I’m not sure if Lulu has received it. How can I verify that?

You can always check pending and completed orders in your Shopify Dashboard. Just go to the Lulu xPress App and click the Orders button. This will display your orders, listed from most recent to oldest.

You can also use the Orders page to Pay for any orders that are pending production. Just click the Pay button next to the order to complete payment. Note that you’ll also have the option to set up automatic payments for faster order processing and fulfillment.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Lulu xPress orders placed through Shopify are fulfilled on-demand, meaning the product is created by Lulu when the order is received. The manufacturing time is 3-5 business days, with additional time added depending on the shipping method chosen at checkout.

How can I get tracking info for my customers?

Shipping notifications for customers are set up through Shopify, rather than the Lulu xPress App. At this time, there are two ways you can pass along the tracking information for an order to your customer. The first way is for tracking to be added manually to the order on Shopify's Orders page. The second option involves using the email templates provided through your Shopify account's Notifications Settings. These templates include HTML outlines of different items that can be included in automatic emails to your customers, including the tracking information.
